Welcome to Learn in Block

Learn in Block is a comprehensive platform dedicated to sharing good practice and knowledge on immersive and block curriculum design across the global Higher Education sector.

Funded by a Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Collaborative Enhancement Project (22/23), this site collates resources, case studies, podcasts, videos, digital artefacts from collaborating universities and beyond. Also included are the outputs of a conference held in September 2023, sharing key learning from block educators across the sector.

Innovation

The QAA Collaborative Enhance Project has evaluated how a range of institutions developed their approaches to block delivery, considering the implications for the student experience, assessment, student support, and pedagogic practice.

Expertise

This Project represents a small number of universities who have adopted block teaching. This site is a platform to share good practice, experience and guidance for educators across the sector.

Collaboration

A one-day conference was hosted by De Montfort University (DMU), with contributions from block pioneers across the sector to share insights, experiences and future innovations.
